About

I made a few simple very small quilts when I was younger. At that time I didn't know what "good" fabric was, what "good" thread was, or that I could do more than sew squares together. Around June of 2012 I saw an ad that had a picture from Fresh Lemons Quilts, I clicked the link and was hooked from there. I started researching and looking and found many blogs that were of huge help to me. I invested in a cutting mat, rotary cutter, fabric, thread and a great Janome sewing machine. From there, there was no looking back.
I am now here to share my journey in sewing, cross stitch and quilts.
Since starting my blog many years ago, I now have a needlework storage case sewing business at windingrainbows.com and my Etsy shop with pdf sewing patterns.

  1. I love your blog! Your story is like mine. I was so thrilled the day I found out there was a whole other fabric world beyond Hancocks. Plus with all the sewing blogs and online tutorials/patterns I've been addicted ever since. :)
