The other prints didn't really call to me so much. Awhile back I ordered the lilac frog pond for a baby quilt backing and the lilac bee print for binding.
I wasn't sure what I would do with it. I Have also been picking up pieces of different florals as I see them on sale. All the beautiful quilts being made over at Quilting In The Rain got me on the lookout for florals. I decided to make a simple patchwork squares quilt to go along with the Briar Rose pieces. Patchwork squares truly are my favorite still :) This should be done by the end of the week.
A reader pointed out to me that my blog had turned 1 at the end of July. I hadn't even thought about it, so thanks Zenia! I am very grateful for all your friendships and my followers! I have met such awesome people since my quilting journey started. I truly am thankful for all your help, knowledge and kind words :) I purchased a little something from Vintage Fairytale as a way of saying thanks. She still has some great sales by the way! (no affiliation) It's not a lot, but I'm offering 5 mini charm packs to one lucky reader.
I love mini charms and hope you do too! I like to get them and then have something to reference if I need a binding or backing etc. When they are no longer needed, they are great for runners, bags or other great little gifts. So if you would like to be included, leave me a comment, anything will do. If you need an idea, I would love to know if you like modern quilts, traditional quilts, or like me, and love them all! I will close the giveaway on Sunday, August 17th at 8 PM MDT. I will choose a winner with random number app. Good luck and thank you all! Giveaway is now closed.
I like the little Froggie print too! He is so sweet. I also really like the Strawberry print from that line. I seem to like all quilts, especially vintage/antique but seem to sew modern myself. Thanks for the chance - those minis are soooo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI loooove ALL quilts too!! :) Colors....& prints...don't seem to stash solids..get em as needed pretty much lol
ReplyDeleteThe Frog print is my favorite too..is sooo cute!
I'll play!
ReplyDeleteThis month is my blog anniversary too - 7 years! I'm going to have a giveaway later this month so I hope you'll stop by and visit.
I consider myself a modern traditionalist because I love traditional quilt blocks but I also love using them in a more modern way. I also love modern quilts.
I'm a big fan of modern quilts and I love mini charm packs! I'm collecting as many as I can for a large postage stamp quilt! Happy blog anniversary!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a year of blogging. I have no preference for any particular style of quilt. I am actually completely unsure of what makes me like or dislike and particular quilt, I just like it or I don't :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of patchwork. I like the old patterns along with the new patterns.
ReplyDeleteWe think alike Vicky! I wanted to let you know that you are a no reply blogger, so I hope you see this! Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteI think that I have fixed the problem. Will you let me know if it works? Thanks
DeleteI love all quilts mostly because I adore plaid and homespun and I also love solids and negative space so I am polar opposites in my taste but all quilts are good. They are warm fabricy hugs.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Christine. Happy Birthday triangles & squares! =)
ReplyDeleteCongrats
ReplyDeleteI love all quilts and hesitate to put mine in a category. Congrats on 1 year!
